Banned for Fixing Spawn

I was on the server for Tekkit at 11 P.M. EST. On 4/18/12
Spawn was griefed yet again and i was helping the Moderator Derive1 to fix it.
I used my Catalytic Lens to break an Alchamical Chest that had been sitting there.
A few seconds later I was banned by dc.
I got on my alt. account then he said i got banned for griefing a chest.
