Banned For Someone elses Griefing

I was recently banned for (well, actually i wasn't told the reason, but i assumed) a griefing in the house near spawn that is made of dark matter and red matter blocks. A person named boobo098 was placing lava, water, and ice inside said house. I came by to see if he was still doing it, with my volcanite amulet. The second I get there I am banned. I am positive this was a misconception on the moderators part (whose name was dc). I would very much appreciate someone looking into this for me.
